States Logistics Services recently put our best foot forward—literally—by launching an energetic walking challenge that brought our team together in a unique and powerful way!
Building Momentum, One Step at a Time
With the spirit of camaraderie driving us, employees formed teams of 4–8 and committed to logging steps daily, all working toward shared goals. Every stride was tracked, every milestone celebrated. It wasn’t just about counting steps—it was about sparking engagement, building healthy habits, and creating genuine connections across departments.
Why This Challenge Matters
So many corporate wellness initiatives fizzle out quickly. Not here! Our walking challenge proved that when wellness is interactive and measurable, everyone wins. We saw more participation, boosted morale, and real momentum behind a culture of health—all while supporting one another every step of the way.
Walking Challenge Highlights: June 16 – July 27
For six weeks, from June 16th through July 27th, employees laced up and tackled increasing weekly goals:
- Week 1: 4,000 steps/day
- Week 2: 5,000 steps/day
- Week 3: 6,000 steps/day
- Week 4: 8,000 steps/day
- Week 5: 11,000 steps/day
- Week 6: 12,000 steps/day
Friendly competition—inspired by tools like A Step Ahead—kept enthusiasm at an all-time high, fueling motivation across the company.
Results That Make an Impact
This wasn’t just participation—it was a movement. A total of 178 employees embraced the challenge, collectively walking a jaw-dropping 70,411,213 steps. That’s the equivalent of about 35,200 miles—enough to circle the globe nearly one and a half times!
