Did you know States Logistics “adopted” a street in Goodyear, Arizona as part of our commitment to the community and the environment?
Since 2018, we’ve been proud participants in the Goodyear, Arizona Adopt-A-Street Program, specifically caring for Lower Buckeye Blvd. Through this program, companies apply and once approved, are awarded a section of street to maintain. Participation comes with responsibility—if we don’t meet our quarterly cleanup commitments, we can be removed from the program. Thanks to our volunteers, we’ve continued to meet those obligations and keep our street looking great.
How It Works
- Frequency: We clean the street once a quarter—that’s four times a year.
- Time Commitment: Each cleanup typically takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on how many volunteers participate.
- Team Size: We average about 7 volunteers per clean up and sometimes host special corporate guests who come out to join us. In the past, we’ve had as many as 14 volunteers. There is no cost to employees or to their family members.
Who Can Volunteer?
There is no cost to employees or to their family members.
- The only requirement is that volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.
- To participate, simply complete the attached form and show up on the scheduled day.
The effort is led by Greg Evans, whose own family is involved—his wife and daughter volunteer throughout the year as well. It’s a great example of how States Logistics extends our culture of service beyond our facilities and into the Arizona communities where we live and work.
